Cummins Holland BV, the Cummins Distributor in the Netherlands have won the contract for the supply of 10 1500 kVA Gensets for Intertech BV.
Intertech BV are one of the most capable packagers in the country and has been contracted to supply these Gensets to Singapore in preparation of the 2008 Olympic Games to be held in Beijing.
The expertise of Intertech allows them the rare capability of using the 1500 kVA Prime Power Low Emission Gensets within 20ft enclosures whilst offering the advantage of reduced sound levels which is an important feature at such major public events. The sound level achieved by Intertech has been measured at less than 73dB(A) at one meter!!In the conditions that the Gensets will be operated, an area surrounded by the public, the only method of checking the power system status will be to monitor the display panel, the PCC3200, which is mounted directly onto the enclosure by Intertech. This has direct access from the outside and is lockable externally therefore eliminating any need to open any doors that would increase the sound level..
The Base Frames will be supplied from CPGK during May and July.
Intertech BV proposes complete Genset solutions powered by Diesel, Gas, Biogas and Bio-Oil engines and they have locations not only in the Netherlands but in Belgium, Denmark and Spain. The partnership between Intertech BV and General Electric is not a one off venture as Intertech supplied GE in 2005 with 17 units using the same concept which will be powering the Olympic events taking place in Turin starting in February 2006.
