A new datacenter is being built: Burr Edge Europe Data Amsterdam. This new datacenter provides in a growing need to deliver content, cloud services and apps. Not only to local customers but also international customers. Intertech Mechanical B.V. is the subcontractor in this project and is responsible for the emergency power set up for this project.
Intertech has provided 23 containers with an emergency generator. Each container has a day tank connected to the generator. The day tank will be filled (whilst in use) during the day with a high/low system out of a 30.000 liter bulk tank. This tank is installed underneath the container.
Every bulk tank is supplied with a diesel conditioning system (fuel polishing). This prevents non flowing diesel. With selected time intervals the diesel will be pumped around and filtered. The system removes water from the fuel and prevents contamination. This way the good quality of the fuel is guaranteed.
Intertech started to develop the emergency power and fuel systems in 2016. In the meantime all the containers are built, established and delivered. All the generators and fuel systems are thoroughly tested at Intertech. The containers are dismounted transported to the place of destination. On location the containers have been put together again. At the moment we are working on the commissioning of the power units.This project will be completed end 2017.
